The 8040 sends the transmitter codes to a access controller (such as a DKS 1830 Series System) in wiegand format. This receiver can also be programmed as a stand-alone device. It is also ideal for solar-powered applications as it has an extremely low power draw while in stand-by mode.

Description
The DoorKing 8040-080 receives signals from compatible 318 MHz MicroPlus or MicroClik transmitters and sends transmitter data to an access controller in 26-, 30-, or 31-bit Wiegand format. It can also operate as a stand-alone receiver, storing up to 100 transmitter codes and activating equipment through its built-in Form C relay. A selectable low-power mode supports solar-powered gate installations when using the stand-alone relay connection. Operates on 12–24 VAC or VDC. The receiver must be programmed for either MicroPlus or MicroClik operation; Wiegand output is unavailable in low-power mode.
