Description

DoorKing 6500-480 Heater and Fan Kit provides thermostatically controlled heating inside compatible gate operator housings. Designed for cold climates where temperatures routinely drop below 10°F (-12°C), it combines a heater and fan to circulate warm air within the enclosure.

With the heater switch set to ON, the built-in thermostat automatically activates the heater and fan when the temperature inside the operator drops below 40°F (4°C). Both turn off when the internal temperature rises above 55°F (13°C). A manual OFF setting disables the heater and fan when heating is not needed.

This 115 VAC, 3.3-amp kit is designed for DoorKing 6500 operators and AC-powered 6524 operators configured for 115 VAC input power. The heater assembly mounts inside the operator using a mounting plate and bracket.

Compatibility: Do not install this kit on a 6500 operator equipped with the optional high voltage kit. For the 6524, use only with the AC-powered version operating on 115 VAC input power. Electrical supply wiring must be sized using the heater kit manual’s tables to account for the additional current draw.
