Description

XLPE Loop Wire is designed for constructing in-ground inductive loops used with vehicle detection systems. Installed in a saw-cut groove in the driveway and connected to a compatible loop detector, the wire helps gate operators, barrier gates, parking systems, and access-control equipment detect the presence of a vehicle.

The durable cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation is well suited for demanding loop applications and helps protect the conductor from moisture, chemicals, oils, heat, and other conditions commonly encountered in driveway installations. The stranded construction provides the flexibility needed to form loop patterns and route the lead-in wire back to the detector.

Available in 500-foot and 1,000-foot spools, with multiple colors for convenient identification when an installation contains several loops.
